Ikerd Holdings and our affiliated companies are growing rapidly and now has a great opportunity available for an experienced Staff Accountant.  We are seeking an individual who is motivated and has the desire to grow with our companies.

The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of our team and will be responsible for demonstrating or possessing the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

  • Becomes familiar with the company’s vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
  • Prepare customer invoices and post into the company’s accounts receivable system
  • Deposit all receipts from real estate closings into the company’s escrow account daily
  • Prepare checks for all real estate closings from the company’s escrow account.
  • Reconcile all transactions from the company’s escrow account daily
  • Work closely with Closing Team to ensure client satisfaction and on-time closing demands
  • Record and reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on any discrepancies
  • Record and reconcile accounts payable and follow up on any discrepancies
  • Regularly process all company deposits into the company’s operations account
  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department and staff
  • Process accounting transactions as needed for associated companies within our family of entities
  • Assist with monthly financial reports
  • Manages multiple projects and meets deadlines
  • Adheres to company policies and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years accounting experience. Experience with QuickBooks is required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients
  • Ability to be a team player and work independently and be self-starting, high energy
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, word/excel
  • Must be detailed-oriented and self-motivated
  • Attention to detail combined with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Recognize the importance of maintaining privacy and confidentiality of company and client information

 

EDUCATION:

  • College degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
